What did the month of August bring for beauty?
I’m excited that I’ve finally finished all these products for the month of August since I’ve bought a whole load of new stuff from Seoul and want to start testing them all out. Here’s a rundown of my thoughts on my beauty empties.
3 Concept Eyes Magic Touch Face Maker
I really love 3CE products because they’re really subtle! So I find their contouring compact is perfect for my tastes. I’ve bought a second compact now! Here’s my full review.
Biore UV Perfect Milk
I’ve started to become more conscious of using sunscreen daily! Even when it’s not sunny. I love this lotion because there’s no white cast, it isn’t thick in consistency and absorbs really quickly. I’m testing a pink bottle version of this now! Not really sure what the difference is at the moment. You can read my review of Biore UV Perfect Milk here.
Kose Sekkisei Sun Protect Gel
Another sunscreen, I found this is much thicker and I find this takes a lot longer to absorb on my face. However, it’s a good portable one that I would use for my body!
Hado Labo Hydrating Lotion
I’ve bought this many times and it’s my favourite toner at the moment. I’ve decided to branch out and try some new ones but I may just come back to it because it just works! I don’t think I’ve actually reviewed it before which is really surprising! I love it a lot.
Nivea Sensitive Caring Micellar Water
I like to use micellar water to wipe off residual makeup particularly when I’m testing a cleanser for the first time or when I’m travelling. At the moment, I don’t have the need for more of this! But if I go travelling again, I may pick up another bottle.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo
I’ve been using this for quite a while now and I’m on my 3rd tube. It’s a cream that reduces acne blemishes. Honestly, I’m not sure whether it had been doing anything for my skin but somehow I keep repurchasing it! There is a new version which is tinted and I’m checking to see whether it does anything.
Kose Junkisui Moisturizer and Massage serum
At first, I wasn’t really that impressed with it but I decided to give it a second chance and ended up enjoying it! I think my skin was under control and I didn’t suffer any breakouts. I do think I will revisit this in the future.
Skinlite Exfoliating Foot Mask from Watsons
This is a foot peeling mask to soften the skin on your feet. They are basically plastic bags that you wear on your feet for a couple of hours. After that, the rough skin on your feet starts to peel and shed. I’ve bought this a couple of times and I haven’t been able to bring myself to post a review of it because the pictures are so….gross. But I tell you, it really does work!
Phew! That was kind of a lengthy beauty empties post but now bring on the new products.
