Get your Curl on with Too Cool For School’s Dinoplatz Twisty Tail Mascara
Whilst in Seoul, I’d been looking forward to finally visiting a branch of Too Cool For School. I ended up coming out with a mascara which is quite literally….too cool for school.
Normally when I review something, I’m so eager to throw away the packaging but not this time! Too Cool For School’s Dinoplatz Twisty Tail Mascara is the exception to that rule. Just look at it! When you open it up, out pops a strange paper metropolis with what looks like a Dinosaur walking towards a bridge. The mascara is tucked away at the back but can easily slide out when you want it to.
What’s so special about the Dinoplatz Twisty Tail Mascara?
It’s all in the 3 step curving brush. Yes, you did read it correctly. It’s a curving brush but with a difference. At the cap of the mascara is a fixture which you twist. With the twisting action, the mascara brush twists with it.
The illustration on the package below demonstrates the positions that the twisty tail mascara can create.
You can see in the picture below, the Twisty Tail Mascara straight and when it is being bent.
Still don’t get it? Here’s a video of the twisty tail mascara in action!
How does the Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Twisty Tail Mascara look?
I must say that if you’re looking for a lengthening mascara, this one is really good! The packaging claims the fibres will add 5mm to your lashes. I’m not so sure that’s true.
I have very little Asian eyelashes but I think the mascara gives the lashes a nice natural looking length! They also look quite fluttery when my eyes are shut but I only noticed it when I looked at these photos.
There’s no clumping in the formula and that means there’s no panda eyes!
I think the curving brush is great! I usually use it when it is completely curved because it hugs the lashes more and can create the shape that I want. Then when I want to reach my tiny lashes I like to straighten the brush.
All in all, the twisty tail mascara doesn’t leave that much impact if you were hoping for volume but it is a solid lengthening mascara.
