It’s been a while, so let’s have a catch up!
Recently it was announced that Dean would be coming over to perform a couple of shows in London. So whenever I hear about a KPOP artist visiting London, I have a listen to see whether they’re worth checking out, because I know how rare it is for them to pop over!
I’ve heard many a vlogger/blogger gush about Dean but I never bothered to check him out because I’m the type of stubborn person who will avoid something because it is popular. What an idiot right!?
I pulled up his latest album ‘TRBL’ on Spotify, and the first song made me sit up! And then the second one did the same thing and the next…..
I was so struck by the breezy and soothing sound of Dean’s voice that I knew I had to go to the concert.
Check out Dean’s song called ‘July’
I am trying to squeeze in GD’s new album as well but he will have to wait!
After leaving my sewing machine in the dust, I decided enough was enough and booked myself some sewing lessons last year.
When I first started, I was all over the place. Extremely impatient to get the job done and usually ended up with something really sloppy because of my shoddy work. These days, I take my time. I’d rather redo something over and over again to make sure it falls in place correctly.
I’m no way near perfect but I feel really satisfied that I’ve achieved a goal! I am now reading patterns and I am slowly able to construct a piece of clothing! I hope to be at a point when I can design my entire outfit. That’s my next goal.
Last month I FINALLY went to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I heard that the original cast was doing to change and I really wanted to see them before they went. So I made an impromptu booking in the middle of the night.
The show was indeed MAGICAL as expected and being able to see magic performed for real made the Harry Potter world so much closer to existing!
I feel like I need to be drawing or painting something….I just never give myself enough time to do it. So I am TRYING to do something in a sketchbook every day. This project is failing a bit. I am practising my calligraphy though! But I need some kind of project to form around it so I’m actively doing something! I’m just putting this out in the universe so it will become something.
Check out my messy desk!
And this is a painting that failed. I lifted this and all the paint slid off.
SO MUCH GOOD FOOD.
This past month I’ve visited a few new places. One being the IVY cafe. It’s kind of like a trendy British food eaterie. You know the type that serves KALE to you. So hipster.
This is the lobster linguine.!
I also went to Bone Daddies (not on the same day) and enjoyed their warm pork broth. Ugh, I love a good ramen dish.
Lastly on another day, I’ve been spoiling myself with waffles…….I’m terrible yes. Need to exercise.
I haven’t been watching ANY Kdramas recently! What’s wrong with me? Instead, I’ve been checking our an old BBC series called ‘LUTHER’. I’ve binge watched series 1-3 and just discovered there is a 4th series (so I know what I’ll be doing after this.)
The drama is centered around a detective called, Luther, who tracks down serial killers. I’ve never been so on EDGE whilst watching a show, gasping out loud way too many times.
If you love thrillers then I highly recommend you give Luther a whirl!
I’ve been using my gopro for my weekly vlogs! Whilst I enjoy the size of it, its mic is way too sensitive. It always ends up picking up handling noise which ruins footage. So I’ve been looking for a Canon vixia which is more of a vlog camera with amazing sound. Sadly it’s been discontinued but I’m trying to see if I can find a second hand one.
