Rounding off my reviews for the December Pink bird box from Etude House, I have the Snowy Dessert Play 101 pencils and samples of their new Honey Cera skin care line!
Etude House Honey Cera Kit
The sample kit I received for the Etude House Honey Cera skin care line consists of a toner, emulsion, firming eye serum and cream. The entire range is meant for nourishing and firming. I’d like to say that I saw a difference but I think to give a full opinion, I’d need to trial these items for way more than two weeks!
At this point, I can say that it doesn’t break me out and I like the feeling it leaves on my skin. It absorbs really well! It does have a light honey fragrance but that’s not over bearing at all.
I don’t normally like to use cotton wool with toner because I think the cotton tends to soak up all the goodness. The honey cera toner is very watery so it’s quite hard to apply if you’re like me and don’t want to use cotton wool.
I really liked the honey cera emulsion, it has a slightly thicker texture which is much easier to apply. It feels like it is giving my skin a boost in the moisture department. I would also say the honey cera cream is also fine in terms of moisturising.
I was also supplied with the eye cream which is also great to use. The one thing about this item is that the full sized version comes with a metal nozzle which can be applied directly to the under eye area. That would definitely be a big selling point for me! Unfortunately the trial size version does not come with this.
So overall (in the two weeks I’ve been using it) the Honey Cera skincare range is a pleasant range to use!
Snowy Dessert Play 101 pencils
The last batch of samples I received are the Snow dessert play 101 pencils in 73 and 71. Both shades are both subtly shimmery. The only difference being that no.73 is a more golden colour and no.71 is pink.
Due to their illuminating qualities I think the snow desert play 101 pencils are best used as eyeshadow and highlighter under the eyes. If you’re familiar with the NAKED palette by Urban Decay, they both really remind me of my favourite eyeshadow ‘half baked’. It’s my favourite highlighter so to have it in the form of a portable pencil is just plain awesome.
Here you can see what the snowy dessert play 101 pencils look like with the flash on and off! Either way you end up with a pretty colour.
If you’re interested in any of these items, you can purchase them from the pinkest company in town – Etude House!
