It’s going to be a bit of a month of Kicho reviews as I’ve just received a box FILLED with new Kicho stuff to review from the lovely team at BNT. I’m not complaining!
I’m putting this out into the universe:
I hate cleaning my makeup brushes.
I’m sure I’m not the only one. I am terrible at cleaning my brushes. Even when I’ve ‘invested’ in one of those ridiculously priced makeup brush mats, the fact that it takes a tiny bit of effort means that it can take me…months to get round to cleaning my brushes. I wish I was joking.
Here be the dirtiest brushes ever!
Well, I may be in luck as Kicho are here to save the day with their Argan Brush cleanser range!
Check out their Argan Brush Cleanser wipes.
It comes in a box of 5 individual sachets as below:
These wipes dissolve and remove oil and dirt from brushes. They also contain plant extracts of green tea, iris, calendula, lemon and sophora root which cleanses the brush. Whilst the Argan oil protects and conditions the bristles!
As you can see, one side of the wipe is textured. You wipe the brush on this side first and then when all the makeup is removed, use the smoother side to shape the brush and clean off excess dirt. Then run the brush under water to rinse it all off.
These wipes are SO convenient. It takes little effort. All you need to do is swipe and the brushes look as good as new. Take a look at the before and after pictures.
I decided to clean all my brushes and I divided a clean area for each brush I had. You can see how well it worked! It even removed my mac fluidline (which is very hard to remove!)
I absolutely would like to use this on my laziest of days (to be frank, that’s kinda every day but I digress). It’s perfect for those who travel a lot too. Just whip one of these bad boys out and you have super clean brushes ready to use.
Kicho Argan Brush Cleanser
If you’re looking to clean your puffs as well as your brushes, then the Kicho Argan Brush Cleanser is your best bet!
In a nutshell – you need to pour the cleanser into a separate waterproof container. After which, you can swish your brushes inside it, watch as all the dirty comes off and then run under water.
I think both products are effective. I found as was more precious about using the brush cleanser. I didn’t want to use too much of it. In the end the brush soaked up a lot of the oil, so I had to keep topping it up with the product.
Take a look at my video of the cleanser and see how it works! It is so effective!!! Please ignore the wonky filming, I was trying to hold the camera and also clean the brush at the same time.
Personally, I prefer using the wipes because they’re so easy to use and there’s less fuss in dealing with disposal of a dirty wipe (as opposed to washing up a container). But that’s not seriously a major deal breaker! Either way, both products are a painless way to clean your brushes and they look as good as new. What more could you want?
You can buy them from Kicho Cosmetics
