Kicho Ultra Moisturising Sun Cream Review
Kicho is a Korean skincare brand that I’ve only just started to hear about. It is a brand that prides itself in using only natural ingredients and keeping it simple! It’s so simple that even Wholefoods in the US stock it so you know it’s got to be au naturel and good for you. Luckily the timing was right and BNT news sent me the Kicho Ultra Moisturizing Sun cream to review.
The Kicho Ultra Moisturizing Sun cream protects skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays and it is formulated for the face to work in a variety of conditions including under your makeup. For protection, the cream has an SPF factor of 50+ PA+++.
I do sometimes judge products by their packaging and I have to say I think Kicho’s gold geometrics are delightfully simple and stunning.
How good is it?
I’ve been impressed with a lot of Asian sunscreens. They’re so much lighter than what I expect and one major plus is that they do not leave a white cast. Comparing those with the Kicho Ultra Moisturizing Sun cream, well I think that Kicho’s is on another level!
First of all, the Kicho Ultra Moisturizing Sun cream is very light and fast absorbing. Secondly, it really really doesn’t feel like a sunscreen at all. As its product name suggests, it definitely feels more like a moisturizer. I really think if you wanted to, you could skip moisturizer and just use this for hydration on your lazy days.
I can’t detect a strong fragrance but I do think it smells a little like melon!
When you spread it over your skin it feels very smooth and cooling to the touch. There is bsolutely no trace of oilyness which means it’s perfect to wear under your makeup. I’ve never worn such a light feeling sunscreen before.
I think I’m switching to this sunscreen once I use up all my boire sunscreen!
For those who are interested, here’s some packaging info
The Kicho Ultra Moisturizing Sun cream costs 36 000 won. As I said you can buy it from Wholefoods in the US, SASA in Singapore and if you’re in Korea, you can find it in Lotte Department store.
You can visit the official website of Kicho here.
