After binge-watching a load of Joan Keem videos on youtube, I decided I needed to try Neogen’s Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Wine.
Checking out Neogen’s Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Wine.
Normally when it comes to exfoliation, I like to use peeling gels because they’re a little gentler on the skin. However, Neogen Peel Gauze Peeling Wine is different because it’s a mitt!
As you can see from the picture, it comes in a tub with 30 little mitts which are soaked in this liquid which really does smell of wine.
How to use it
One side of the mitt has a gauze type of texture. You are instructed to use this side first and rub in a circular motion. This works to exfoliate the skin and remove dirt.
Once done, on the other side of the mitt is a softer side which is smoothed over the skin. You should be able to see the dirt on the mitt once you’re done! It’s gross but just goes to show how much dirt you have on your skin. You only need to use this twice a week.
Neogen’s Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Wine mitt really has a lot of liquid in it so I really like to keep rubbing it into my skin as I want to absorb as much of the goodness as I can.
What do I think of the Neogen Dermalogy Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Wine?
I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on this Neogen Dermalogy Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Wine. I still prefer the gentleness of peeling gels. With the mitt, I was trying to get as much as I could out of it, so I could not resist scrubbing my face. This irritated some milia that I had on my skin. So I I decided to dab a little tea tree facial oil on it to heal it which was a bad idea as the skin started to scab which was a huge surprise as there was no indication that my skin was damaged to that extent. I guess the combination of the oil and exfoliating made my skin extra sensitive.
There is a slight tightness to the skin afterwards but I do think the skin looks and feel smoother, softer and brighter. I also really loved the grape scent. It may be overpowering for some but I love scents that you just want to eat up!
However, I will not be using this on my face since I clearly cannot deal with mitts! However, I do think the Neogen Dermalogy Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Wine is a fantastic neck scrubber. The amount of dirt it lifted from my skin was astounding.
