So it’s been a couple of weeks and I’ve been excitedly making my way through the plethora of Swanicoco products that was sent to me!
Unfortunately, I think something broke me out. Now it’s not a complete catastrophe because it’s literally one zit. Nevertheless, my skin is not sensitive and it’s really rare for me to breakout so in order to eliminate the suspect, I’ve slowed down the testing process and only using one new product a week.
First up is the Swanicoco Bitamin C Calm Down Emulsion. It’s an emulsion infused with rice ferments extracts, vitamin c and niacinamide.
What’s is the Swanicoco Bitamin C Calm Down Emulsion for?
- The emulsion is said to calm down redness, brighten the skin and help protect the skin from damage.
- It also contains Sodium hyaluronate and hydrolyzed collagen which improves the skin’s elasticity.
- Aloe leaf powder smoothes and moisturizes the skin.
- Suitable for all skin types, to be applied after skin toner.
How did the Swanicoco Bitamin C Calm Down Emulsion do?
The lotion itself is very light and has a faint citrus scent. When rubbed into the skin, it feels very cooling and the skin absorbs it very quickly, leaving it feeling very soft and moisturized. It would make a perfect light moisturiser for oily skin types in the summer.
To be honest, I haven’t really noticed any particular improvements in my skin but it does feel nice after using it. My skin hasn’t reacted to it so I can say that this is not the product that broke me out (or was it the vitamin C that did it?)
While it’s a good standard emulsion that works, I find there’s not much more to write about it! I like the product and find it pleasant to use, but I’m not sure there’s enough to make it stand out from a lot of other emulsions.
