Mini Instax!

I really should use my instax mini more! I bought this on a bit of a whim because I’d seen this featured randomly on a Korean drama. It looked like a lot of fun. I just always forget to bring it out because it’s rather big.

But the Polaroid’s are very cute!

Let’s black out the Blackheads

I’ve been looking for tips, tricks and anything else that might just get rid of the blackheads at the end of my nose. Unfortunately I can’t seem to get rid of them!

I’ve always been advised to use toner as this is supposed to minimize the pores after cleansing, which I’ve been doing however there’s no point toning anything if you don’t get rid of the actual impurities that are stuck in your pores! That’s probably one of the reasons why I can’t seem to get rid of mine!

I’ve been doing a little bit of digging! (research on the internet that is – ok I did try some of that kind of digging but we all know that never ends well). Anyway an interesting bit of info was that one of the causes of blackheads was sebum oxidising with the dead skin on your nose.

I definitely neglect exfoliating that part of my face. So I’m doing to try gently removing dead skin with ‘Cure Aqua Gel’. It’s a great gel that you rub on your skin. It’s gently removes dead skin with being abrasive! So it’s perfect for the face.

In conjunction with that I’m going to try Sanctuary’s 5 minute thermal detox mask. The intense heat when first applied feels really great. I’m not sure if it’s actually opening up with pores and making it easier to extract black heads but we’ll see!

For actual extraction of blackheads I’ve always tried to use biore nose strips. The only problem with this is that no matter how wet I make my nose, the nose strip always lifts off in the end and thus the nose strip loses contact with my skin and so no blackheads get removed. So I find it a failure for the most part.

But let’s see how my method goes!

O.P.I – Limited Edition – Get Miss Piggy With It!

I’ve never bought O.P.I nail polish before but I’ve heard many good things about it. I stumbled upon the limited Muppets edition set of nail polishes and fell in love with ‘Get Miss Piggy With it’.

Think Dorothy’s Ruby Red Slippers meets nail polish and that’s the shade you would get. I had to layer it first with a deep red, as I was surprised to find the shade goes on more ‘sheer’ than I would have liked. I’m sure if you had more layers of ‘Miss Piggy’, you could achieve the look.

But I’m a rather impatient girl so I cheated with red underneath! I adore the shade, it’s so Christmassy and little more glam than your usual reds! It’s perfect to put on your toes as well for a little extra bling bling!

And if you’re the type that botches up nails just after you’ve painted them, I think the sparkly effects ensures that even if you’re a little messy….it still looks neat!

I would mark this a 10 out of 10! Now I might just have to go check out the kermit one and the pink sparkly one that’s also available. At £10.50 a pop, it is pretty pricey but they are good quality so it is definitely worth the splurge!
