Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Pore Mask Review
Having never been inside an Innisfree shop before, I was completely overwhelmed when I found the outlet at the bottom of Takashimaya in Singapore. I bought a whole slew of items, the first one I was attracted to was Innisfree Super Volcanic pore clay mask. I’ve been using sheet masks religiously over the past couple of years but you know, I’ve been missing the old school mud looking packs! After getting swept along with the information, I took a pot home with me!
Here’s what it looks like. It comes in a little 100ml tub. It’s a clay mask which absorbs sebum, tightens pores, exfoliates dead skin, deep cleanses, improves skin tone and cools the skin. Sounds great!
So what’s so volcanic about?
It contains Jeju Volcanic Scoria – apparently this is hardened lava! The official site is a bit vague at describing why this scoria is good for the skin but I’ll just swallow the spin and try it.
How do you use it?
Use it after cleansing and toning the skin and then spread over the face and leave for ten minutes. When time is up, roll with fingertips and rinse with warm water. You can also use it on the body too (you can buy it in a tube version).
Here are the ingredients and instructions.
Inside the pot, you will see a thick grey consistency awaiting you!
The verdict
I just love the refreshing feeling of the pack. It’s extremely cooling and feels kind of ‘minty’. Although instructions say to leave only for ten minutes, I like wearing this for about 30 mins to an hour whilst doing other things like watching variety shows or having a foot bath. Nothing like pampering yourself!
The tub I bought did not come with a spatula so I recommend buying one to apply this. It’s so much more hygienic and easier to spread the product on your face.
My skin felt so soft afterwards! I really like to use this when I feel my skin needs a boost or I’m feeling a little greasy and crap! It’s the perfect treat for when you want your skin to feel refreshed and soft like a baby!
I’ve been using this consistently for about 4 months now and highly recommend it.
