More monolid makeup ideas that I’ve found in my computer!
I like how the below tutorial maps the areas you need to shade.
I don’t think one of girls (she is pictured at the bottom) has a single lid – it looks like her double lid is kind of inverted so it appears single lidded! Hmm, there are so many different kinds of eyelids! I guess not one monolid tutorial is going to help everyone so I’ll keep posting ideas for you and hope one of them is applicable to you.
So for the top girl with the single lid, it looks like they used a soft ‘orangey’ kind of pencil/eyeshadow pen on the lid and also underneath the lower lash line. I presume this is to create a ‘popping’ kind of effect to give the eyes more dimension (which you can see in the before and after picture).
The last step is brown pencil liner and mascara for the full on fluttery effect!
Secret Double lid but Monolid Girl
For the girl at the bottom, even though she has a double lid, when her eyes are open they do seem to look like a monolid. So to enhance her eyes, follow the steps as the picture shows!
1. Sweep a dark brown/grey eyeshadow along the lower lash line. The rest of the lid should be brushed with a soft pink eyeshadow.
2. Blend the darker eyeshadow so it looks softer! Eyeshadow lines shouldn’t look too harsh.
3. Don’t forget your aegyo sal! (under your lower lash line). Highlight this area with a brighter eyeshadow e.g. white, light pink, something light. It would be nice if the eyeshadow was slightly iridescent! This will attract the light.
4. Then at the outer corners of your eyes, on the lower lash line, smoke a dark brown or grey eyeshadow to soften your eyes and make them stand out!
