Make your mouth water with Peripera Lip Tint Water
I’ve seen so many people review lip tints online but there was something very unappealing about applying such a liquid-ey lip colour on my lips (what a mouthful!). In addition to that, the lip tints look alarmingly neon in the bottle! But I needed to see what the hype was all about. So today’s review is Peripera Lip Tint Water.
I’ve seen Peripera in the shops for ages but always ignored it because I thought it was a makeup range for girls in their tweenage years. The packaging is really cute and adorned with foxy cartoon girls. I think this is the same artist who designed one of 2NE1’s album covers.
As you can see from the swatches, the peripera lip tint water comes in some beautiful and surprisingly natural shades! You can completely cover your lips for a clean and neat looking appearance or if you’ve been hankering to obtain the trendy colour graduation then this is the product you need!
It comes in a cute little glass nail polish type of bottle. Once you unscrew the cap, it reveals the lip stain applicator. To apply, you basically wipe the wand over your lips. I am stating the obvious. I know. I’m sorry.
The colour of the peripera lip tint water is a very watery. It will at first appear very wet and colourful on the lips but this soon dries out and the colour fades leaving a beautiful and natural looking stain on your lips.
I selected Peripera’s tint water in candy#5 and orange juice #3. Check out the swatches below!
– Candy Juice looks very orange in the bottle but on your lips, it looks more like a hot pink on your lips!
– I was aiming for a warmer and more natural look so I really love the colour of Orange Juice!
The verdict
Call me a convert, I really like how the colour is not thick, sticky nor overly matte on your lips. It is a lip stain for sure BUT it definitely lasts longer than a lip gloss. I applied this before I went out for a meal and I had a tall glass to drink! Peripera’s lip tint withstood a lot of mouth movement and moisture on my lips.
I definitely recommend peripera lip tint water if you want try something that feels light on your lips but makes a difference in colour. It really doesn’t feel like you are wearing any makeup. It’s perfect!
