Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Eyeliner review
I bought the Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Thin eyeliner a couple of weeks ago. It was was an emergency purchase when I realised I had messed up my makeup on the way to see the Donghae and Eunhyuk concert! (I will post up a review of that soon).
I normally use the mac fluidline in dipdown to line my eyes but as I usually apply that with a brush, I wanted to get an eyeliner in pen form. It’s so much handier when you’re on the go.
So after a quick trip to Boots and I found myself with Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Eyeliner.
Upon application, I really loved how deep black the black is! I haven’t used that many pen liners recently but I liked how this one was able to emphasise my eyes nicely.
The tip is also created so that you can draw both thick and thin lines. You can see in the image below how the nib of the pen is chiselled. So using this, I was able to achieve the perfect cat eyed look with a clean flick using the thin nib.
I can report that the liner lasted me that evening!
However I have found that if you were aiming for fresh eyed look that lasted the whole day…well it doesn’t last that long. I would say after about 6 hours, I was getting slightly panda eyed! I also found that the black didn’t really stay a rich black colour. It’s a shame because I really like the liner on first application. Plus pens are so much easier to use than potted gel liners!
So in conclusion it’s great for an emergency but if you’re wanting something to last the whole day – I definitely recommend the reliable mac fluidline! That fella just doesn’t smudge at all!!!!
If you’re still curious the thick and thin liner – you can find out where else to buy this from the official Rimmel site here.
